Very good value for price,clean, comfortable. Positive: Went to local restaurant for breakfast. Large portions and food was good. Negative: Description of front door key location was not adequately explained in communication from host. I brought my own hangars , which was fortunate as there were none. The information looseleaf had been misplaced by cleaners and was unavailable.Only 1 coffee cup available. No drawers for clothes

We found the Hornet Lodge met our needs for a visit to my hometown of Shullsburg WI. We appreciate that it accepts dogs. It was a comfortable place generally. The apartment lacked some critical items to warrant a completely positive review. The kitchen was very inadequate. The refrigerator needs repair/replacing. It priodically would make a very loud and disruptive whirling sound. There were no kitchen knives for food prep or any salt pepper and other condiments typically available. There is a coffee maker, but no coffee cups. No wine glasses either. We bought some at a thrift store for future guests. The only lighting in the living room and kitchen were the overhead florescent tube lighting. I wanted to give this place a better review, because we did enjoy our stay generally, but these things need to be done toimprove the space.
