Galena delight with an economical rate. Small adjustments needed, but a stay is recommended. Positive: We didn't take advantage of any breakfast. Not sure if it was even offered but we aren't breakfast eaters so no problem The coded door was so convenient I may put one in my house. Very simple and you don't have to worry about a key. The property is pure Galena; post-Colonial era, Federal style with a great vibe. Negative: The lighting : walking from the parking lot to the dwelling tripped a very bright overhead light which killed the beautiful night vibe. Also, the next door property, also part of the Bridgestone Group had a 90 watt floodlight pointed directly at the parking lot. Those flood lamps are so bright that first responders say they are a response hazard and some cities have outlawed them due to light pollution. You can't look directly at them and they further kill any romantic nightime vibe. To give you an idea of how much power 90 watts represents: a 90 watt speaker or amplifier at full volume would have numerous neighbors calling the police for immediate shutdown. 90 watts is a lot of power. The property managers should install trail or foot lighting for safety and tear out the flood lamps and overhead lamps. Also, the room was right on Highway 20 and the outdoor street light was illuminating the room. Better shades or black out curtains needed. The occasional truck noise would wake up light sleepers but the Hwy20 bypass being constructed should help that. It wasn't too bad. For the rate, I'll deal with it.
